The Green Capital 2011 and MitOst Hamburg bring together Germany and Russia!

From 13th to 21th of November 2010 we initiated our first project in the city – in the heart of the Hamburg Port. On board the traditional sailing ships Pipilotta and Ryvar, young people from Hamburg and its partner cities Dresden, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad as well as from Coswig, Stuttgart, Halstenbek, Eberbach, Ulm und Berlin got together in order to learn more about sustainability and ecology and develop their own projects.

The meeting in Hamburg was the first of three project phases. The second phase is due in St. Petersburg in spring 2011 where participants continue to work on their projects and turn them into shape by using their knowledge from the Hamburg workshops. The final meeting will take place in late summer 2011 when projects will be presented during the Hamburg Green Capital youth meeting.
